Logan Browning and 26th SAG Award Nominee Joey King, have been named Ambassadors for the 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. In this special role, each will participate in various SAG Awards pre-show events and share their insider’s view via social media.
Audiences can expect Browning and King to share news and behind the scenes content on behalf of the SAG Awards including impressions of the production during the crucial days leading up to the show. Logan Browning will be attending “Cocktails with the SAG Awards” on January 16. Both Logan Browning and Joey King will participate in the Official Carpet Rollout on January 17. The 26th Annual SAG Awards airs live on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020 on TNT and TBS at 5 p.m. (PT) / 8 p.m. (ET)
Joey King
Joey King can currently be seen starring opposite Patricia Arquette in Hulu’s critically acclaimed true-crime anthology series, The Act, which has set a new subscribers-to-series record at Hulu. The wildly successful series follows Gypsy Blanchard (King), a girl trying to escape the toxic relationship she has with her overprotective mother, Dee Dee (Arquette). King received rave reviews for her performance, which earned her a 2019 Emmy nomination, a 2020 Critics’ Choice Award nomination, a 2020 Golden Globe Award nomination, a 2020 SAG Award nomination as well as two Gold Derby TV Awards nominations in the categories “Movie/ Limited Series Actress,” and “Breakthrough Performer of the Year.”King is the breakout star of the Netflix phenomenon The Kissing Booth, which Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos has referred to as “one of the most-watched movies in the country, and maybe in the world”. This follows her leading performance in Blumhouse’s The Lie, which premiered at TIFF 2018, and the SXSW darling SUMMER ’03. In addition to this success, Paramount Players has also acquired King’s original pitch entitled The In Between which she will star in and also produce. The film, which is to be written by Marc Klein, is the story of a supernatural romance in the vein of Ghose. Additional credits include Ramona and Beezus, The Conjuring, Oz Great and Powerful and the Sundance favorite Wish I Was Here.
